Baker hire turns up the heat

THOMAS & Adamson, the construction consultancy, has been expanding its building surveying team. Following the retirement of Charlie Bryden, Michael Beverley has taken over as partner heading the team while the well-known construction specialist, Alison Baker, has been recruited from Ryden and Kate Bilbrough has been promoted to associate.

Beverley said: “It is rare that someone of Alison’s stature comes into the marketplace. The timing could not have been better, as it has allowed us to bring forward our development, restructure and expansion plans.”

Miller Construction has appointed Charlie Veitch as business development director for the Scottish region. His track record includes 13 years with Tannson Ltd where he was a group director, handling client liaison and diversification of the business into property and investment.

In his new role Veitch will be responsible for implementing a long-term client relationship strategy, analysing industry development, and increasing brand awareness.
