
A Blockbuster for Culverwell
NEW INSTRUCTIONS
THE film rental company, Blockbuster Entertainment, has appointed
Culverwell to handle its Scottish portfolio, which initially this
will involve professional and agency work and a pro-active role going
forward.
Blockbuster has around 700 stores catering to the video rental market,
with a strong retail presence in confectionery, games and films.
DTZ and CB Richard Ellis have been appointed joint letting
agents, by CTL Estates, of an 11,367 sq ft, second floor, fully-fitted
office suite in One Gyle Square, South Gyle in Edinburgh.
Developed in 2002, the building provides 140,000 sq ft of grade A
accommodation in a high profile position at the entrance to South Gyle.
The suite is the last remaining space in the building, with the rest of
the accommodation occupied by NHS Common Services Agency, who acquired
the adjacent 16,000 sq ft, second floor suite during the last quarter of
2007.
Knight Frank has been appointed by Hydro Group, a major national
and international provider of harsh environmental solutions for
electrical and optical systems, to project manage the construction of
its new £4 million design and engineering facility on a 2.2 acre site at
Aberdeen Science and Energy Park.
The new premises will include over 8,000 sq ft of office space, 31,000
sq ft of space for research and development and the manufacturing
facility as well as 76 car parking spaces.
