Improvements to follow transfer

A £15million improvement scheme involving 3,000 homes is soon to start in Inverclyde.

River Clyde Homes will shortly appoint three lead contractors to transform the homes and surrounding areas as part of a four-year framework agreement. Work on the project is expected to start in the autumn, around nine months after the stock transfer from Inverclyde Council.

As well as increasing insulation, the programme will also transform the physical appearance of the buildings. The planned works form part of an eight-year £83 million investment programme that will ensure the landlord’s entire housing stock meets the Scottish Housing Quality Standard by 2015.
