Law Society sale bids all in
THERE have been several offers for the Law Society of Scotland’s
offices in Drumsheugh Gardens, one of the largest of traditional
townhouse accommodations in central Edinburgh.
With the closing date passed, Jones Lang LaSalle was saying nothing.
Offers over £5.5 million had been expected, but there were late doubts
about this being reached.
The Law Society is looking through all the terms and conditions of the
bids before making a decision.
A spokesperson said the site of its new HQ is dependent on the sale.
“We have a target building in mind, and the undertaking given to the
staff from the senior management team is that the move would be to a
building within the Edinburgh area.”
